Diving

The Maldives offer some of the world’s best diving destinations. The corals of the Maldives have in some places suffered from serious bleaching, however there is marine life still growing at its best, bushes of black coral with the soft colorful corals in pinks and oranges makes the underwater world not to be missed. To add to the lively reef, over 1000 species of fish including anthias, batlips, angelfish, ells, groupers and nudibranch, and countless species of invertebrates thrive with life.  Hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, barracudas and manta and eagle rays are witnessed by divers in channels. Out of the channel divers can spot sweetlip, snapper and fusilier in abundance around shallower reefs, while turtles and reef sharks prefer to inhabit the reef edges – in a nutshell the Maldives has it all.
